Jessica Van Schaick, a native of South Florida, was born and raised in the vibrant community of West Kendall, Miami.
She completed her medical training at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim School of Medicine, Physician Associate (PA) Studies.
During this time, she wrote her graduate paper on using Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) in treating PTSD.
Jessica is deeply passionate about mental health advocacy and is dedicated to empowering her patients. Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for healing and growth is at the heart of her approach to mental healthcare.
Her role at Elevate is diagnosing and treating various psychiatric conditions, including ADHD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, and trauma. She also prescribes and monitors medication regimens when needed.
Jessica's style of practice is centered around individualized and holistic care. She strongly believes in addressing not just the symptoms but also the underlying factors contributing to mental health challenges.
She advocates for the integration of various forms of therapy, such as CBT, DBT, and EMDR, and the use of natural supplements, lifestyle adjustments, mindfulness meditations, and wellness practices to support and enhance treatment plans.
Jessica listens to concerns through open and honest dialogue and collaborative work with patients to empower them to take an active role in their own mental health journey.
