Understanding and addressing both substance use disorder (addiction) and other disorders (called co-occurring disorders) is essential for your recovery.

By diagnosing both disorders, professionals can use treatment interventions such as talk therapytranscranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy, and other treatments to significantly improve your quality of life and reduce addiction triggers.

Substance Abuse & Addiction Treatment FAQs

What is addiction treatment at Elevate Psychiatry, and how is it different from rehab?

Elevate Psychiatry’s addiction treatment is different from rehab because we focus on individuals who are either trying to prevent addiction or are trying to maintain their sobriety. We do not offer inpatient services and do not treat those who need high-level addiction care.

Can you treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, or PTSD alongside addiction?

Yes, we can treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, and PTSD alongside addiction. In fact, it’s crucial to do so to help patients because these conditions often fuel substance use.

Do I need detox first, or can I start outpatient treatment now?

Elevate Psychiatry does not offer detox services. If you need to detox, we suggest contacting a local professional rehabilitation clinic. Once you’ve completed detox, we can provide ongoing outpatient support to help you maintain your recovery.

Does a relapse mean addiction treatment failed?

No, a relapse doesn’t mean an addiction treatment failed. Sobriety is a winding path, and relapses are a natural part of recovery. The best thing to do is visit with your therapist, who can help you move forward.
