Martin Sarango, MA, RMHCI, is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from the University of Massachusetts Global. He has experience providing therapy to adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, substance use, and life transitions. He has also worked with individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns, helping clients navigate personal, and relational challenges.

Martin integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based interventions to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life experiences. His approach is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered, with an emphasis on developing practical skills while exploring the underlying patterns that may contribute to ongoing challenges. He strives to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can develop greater self-awareness, build confidence, and work toward meaningful change. As a bilingual English and Spanish speaking counselor, Martin values cultural humility and incorporates each client’s unique background, values, and experiences into the therapeutic process.

Outside of counseling, Martin enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and cooking. Music has always been an important part of his life, and he especially enjoys playing guitar. He values spending quality time with family and friends and, above all, loves relaxing at home and spending time with his dog.
