Dr. Julian Ariza, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist at Elevate Psychiatry, serving patients in Miami and throughout Florida via telehealth. He brings a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to psychiatric care, with clinical expertise in mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and treatment-resistant depression.
Dr. Ariza is committed to individualized care — recognizing that every patient has a unique history, biology, and set of goals. His evaluations are thorough and collaborative, and he works closely with each patient to develop a treatment plan that may include medication management, advanced treatments like TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) or Spravato (esketamine), and coordination with therapists and other providers.
Dr. Ariza believes that effective psychiatric care goes beyond simply prescribing medication. He takes time to understand each patient's full clinical picture — including medical history, lifestyle, and personal goals — before recommending a treatment approach. He emphasizes psychoeducation, helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options so they can be active participants in their own care.
When clinically appropriate, Dr. Ariza incorporates advanced psychiatric treatments including TMS therapy and Spravato (intranasal esketamine) for patients with treatment-resistant depression. He stays current with the latest evidence-based practices through continuing medical education and peer-reviewed literature.
Dr. Ariza completed his psychiatric training and is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). He holds an active Florida medical license and is licensed to practice telepsychiatry throughout the state of Florida.
Dr. Ariza is currently accepting new patients at Elevate Psychiatry's Miami locations, including Coconut Grove and Doral, as well as via telehealth for patients located anywhere in Florida.
